Fenella's 2nd Bach 2 The Future CD on Champs Hill Records was nominated in the Instrumental category, alongside recordings by Krystian Zimerman and Sean Shibe. The panel stated:
"This gutsy and exhilarating disc completes violinist Fenella Humphreys’s laudable project to commission and record six companion pieces to Bach’s Partitas. Featuring splendid new compositions by Sally Beamish, Peter Maxwell Davies and Adrian Sutton alongside works by Bach, Ysaÿe, Stravinsky and Sibelius, the disc is performed with great precision and verve."
A huge thank you to everyone who voted!

FEBRUARY 2017 GRAMOPHONE MAGAZINE EDITOR'S CHOICE
'Humphreys’s utter absorption and delight in all three shines forth at every turn. A particular joy is her realisation of the contrapuntal part-writing that is such a feature of these three and the other works on the disc, carving it with a strong-toned, easy fluidity and immaculate technique.'
Instrumental CD Choice October 2015, 5 stars, BBC Music Magazine
'She shapes the music with skill... rich and varied tone... her double stops are impeccable, and there is complete confidence in the rapid changes of character... a nicely understated, virtuoso ending to an enjoyable and accomplished CD.'
