A passionate chamber musician, Fenella performs in a piano trio together with Martin Roscoe and Jessica Burroughs.   Her string trio with Cara Berridge (Sacconi Quartet) and Andrew Berridge (Scottish Ensemble, principal BBCSSO), part of Perpetuo performs regularly in music clubs and festivals.   Their new commission 'Airs Jigs and Reels', a partner work to Bach's Goldberg Variations was premiered in June 2018 at the St. Magnus International Festival in a performance that was praised for its 'gutsy, sharply etched and plangent' characterisation and 'enormous sensitivity' (The Arts Desk).  The trio also enjoys joining forces with other members of Perpetuo for bigger programmes including wind and piano.   Current programmes on offer with the string trio include:

Schubert - String Trio in B flat D471
Adrian Sutton - Spring Masque for violin and viola
Sibelius - String Trio in G minor

Airs Jigs and Reels is a wonderful set of new works by traditional and classical Scottish composers exploring both the poetically lyrical and dance-like aspects of Goldberg Variations, one of Bach’s best loved works.   These new works have recently been recorded by the Trio for future release by Champs Hill Records.
